A Dallas man will spend 20 years in federal prison. The U.S. Attorney's Office says agents seized more than 77 kilograms of meth in his case.

His name is Bryan Manuel Cisneros-Ruiz. He is 28. He pleaded guilty to having meth to sell. The sentence is 240 months. Chief U.S. District Judge Reed O'Connor gave it on Oct. 20.

Court records show the case began in September 2023. DEA agents were looking into a group that sold large amounts of meth and heroin in the Dallas area. They say Cisneros-Ruiz was a Dallas seller in that group.

On Oct. 12, 2023, agents had a search warrant for his apartment. That is a judge's order to search a place. Just before the search, agents say they saw him put a large white trash bag into a car. A co-defendant was driving. Dallas police stopped the car. The office says officers found about nine kilograms of suspected meth in the bag.

Inside his one-bedroom apartment, the office says agents found about 68 kilograms more. Much of it was already packed to sell. They also found cell phones, drug tools and $43,317 in cash.

Agents found four guns too. They were two pistols and two rifles. Lab tests showed the meth from the car was 100% pure. The meth from the apartment was 97% pure.

The U.S. Attorney said, "Bryan Cisneros-Ruiz wasn't a small-time dealer." He said it was a dangerous operation.

The judge ordered him to give up the $43,317. After prison, he will have four years of supervised release. That means he must follow rules and check in with an officer. The office says he will also be handed to immigration authorities for removal proceedings. The release does not say what country he is from.

The co-defendant is not named in the release.
