Check your freezer. Gias Foods issued a recall on September 15. It covers two batches of its Bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine. Walmart sold this frozen pasta at stores across the country. That includes stores here in Texas.

The FDA says the pasta may carry Listeria. Listeria is a germ that can make people sick. State workers ran routine tests on the pasta. Testers in Washington state found signs of Listeria. Testers in Florida found the same thing.

Gias Foods has stopped shipping the pasta. The company and the FDA are now looking into how the germ got into the food.

Here is how to spot the recalled bags. Look for the 22 ounce package. It comes in yellow plastic. Check the UPC code on the label. It should read 194346442706. Then flip the bag over. Look for lot number L6079C or L6080C. The date on the back will read 09/19/2027 or 09/20/2027.

Does your pasta match those numbers? Do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to Walmart. You can get a full refund. You can also call Gias Foods with questions.
