A mother was worried. She had not heard from her daughter since about 10 p.m. Friday. So she sent her several texts.

The answer came back as two selfies. The photos seemed to show her face. It looked swollen and bleeding, with other injuries too. Police said she also seemed to be wearing bloody clothes.

Now Christopher Robles is charged with aggravated kidnapping with bodily injury. It is a felony in Texas. The woman was later found at a hotel with him, according to an arrest report.

Here is what happened, according to that report.

The woman's teen daughter last saw her mom around 5 p.m. Friday, she told police. She said her mom had no marks you could see on her face then.

The woman told her daughter she was leaving to give Robles a ride. She said he was having car trouble.

Early Saturday, the mother called San Antonio police. She said her daughter was dating Robles. She said he was abusive. She said she was worried about her safety.

Police tracked the woman's vehicle to a McDonald's nearby. Security video showed what came next.

The video shows her pulling in. Then Robles pulls into the lot in a different SUV. The two talk. Then she gets into his vehicle, and they drive away.

Then her family got her location from her Google account. It showed her at a Fairfield by Marriott hotel in San Antonio.

Hotel workers told police Robles had checked into a room with a woman. The arrest report says workers had also gotten complaints. People said a woman was screaming in the room.

Hotel staff went to check on her. Robles came to the door. Police say he would not let the woman come to the door.

Workers told police they heard her say everything was fine. Then the door was closed.

Police went to the hotel. They found Robles' vehicle in the parking lot. Hotel records showed the room was in his name.

Police accuse Robles of abducting the woman. They say he meant to terrorize or hurt her.

Police also say Robles has a history of violence against the woman. They point to an arrest on Feb. 21. They also point to another assault he is accused of on Oct. 2.

Robles also had a warrant out for breaking his parole, police said. Parole is when someone gets out of prison early and has to follow rules.

El Tejano is not naming the woman.

Everyone is presumed innocent until proved otherwise.
