She used to be a manager at a Don Pedro's on San Antonio's South Side. Now she is charged with robbing it.
The clue, police say, was a tattoo on one finger.
Blanca Velasquez, 43, is charged with aggravated robbery. That is a first-degree felony. It can mean 5 to 99 years or life in prison. Bexar County court records show her bail was set at $75,000.
The robbery took place just after midnight on Sunday, Sept. 20.
San Antonio police were sent there. A robbery was going on right then. By the time they got there, the robbers were gone.
Here is what police say happened, based on an arrest affidavit.
Two people came in through a back service door. They held a worker at gunpoint. They took cash from the office. Then they ran.
Someone was hurt. The affidavit says the victim suffered bodily injury. It does not say how bad.
The place had cameras. They got the robbery on video.
On the video, one robber had a tattoo on the right index finger. That is the pointer finger.
Then the owner told detectives something. The place had fired one of its managers not long ago. That manager had a tattoo in the same spot. The owner said it looked very much like the one on the video.
Two days after the robbery, cops arrested Velasquez on other warrants. Police say those warrants had nothing to do with the robbery.
Detectives then talked to her at a police station.
The affidavit says she confessed to the robbery. Police also say she gave details that only someone who was there would know.
The affidavit says she did not act alone. It says she worked with another person. That second person is not named in the affidavit.
Velasquez is charged, not convicted. Her case now goes through the Bexar County courts.
The second robber has not been publicly named. Police have not said if that person has been caught.
Everyone is presumed innocent until proved otherwise.
