A Corpus Christi man ran the rules for a girls kickball league. He also spent months sending sexual messages to a 14-year-old player in that league. He called her after midnight. He texted her at 4 in the morning. When she reported him twice on Instagram, he sent her $200 in cash.

Harry Wallace Grabowske IV is 38 years old. He goes by "Wally." Police booked him into the Nueces County jail on June 21, 2026. He faces two serious charges: grooming a child and online solicitation of a minor. The grooming charge carries a $100,000 bond. The solicitation charge carries a $50,000 bond. He needed $150,000 to get out of jail.

Grabowske was a board member, a coach, and the rules director for the Laguna League of Little Miss Kickball. That league serves young girls in Nueces County. He had a position of trust. Court papers say he used that trust to target a 14-year-old on his own team.

It started on October 16, 2025. That night, Grabowske sent the girl a video of himself on Instagram. He captioned it "cheer up sexy." He kept messaging her that same night. The messages were sexually explicit. The next morning at 4:49 a.m., he sent more messages. Those messages described a sexual dream about her.

The girl did not respond the way he wanted. She reported him to Instagram.

He did not stop.

On October 23, 2025, he called the girl twice. Once at 10:32 p.m. Once at 11:32 p.m. Her parents did not know. On November 19, at 5:03 in the morning, he sent a string of graphic sexual messages.

The girl reported him to Instagram again on November 21, 2025.

The next day, November 22, he sent her $200 through Cash App. The civil suit says that money was not a gift. It was meant to pull her back into sexual chats. It was also meant to buy her silence.

The family had no idea. Then in early June 2026, the parents found the late-night calls in old phone logs. The mother went to face Grabowske in person on June 4, 2026. He said the girl had started the contact herself. Phone records showed that was a lie. His wife was there during the meeting. She told the family their concerns were fair.

On June 5, the family went to the Corpus Christi Police Department and filed a report. On June 8, they gave the girl's phone to detectives.

On June 17, the league posted a statement on Facebook. LMKII President Candy Crider said the State Executive Board had been told about the case and acted fast. "The coach in question was suspended from any involvement with Little Miss Kickball in any and all capacities as well as issued a stay away order from the premises," she wrote. Acting President Randy Spitzer added: "We take these situations very seriously and have worked swiftly to continue to keep our organization a safe place for players and their families."

The league had already banned Grabowske from closing ceremonies and then from the park before the post went up.

Four days later, police made the arrest.

Grooming is a felony in Texas. It means an adult used messages or contact to gain a child's trust for the purpose of sexual abuse. Online solicitation of a minor is also a felony. Both charges carry serious prison time.

The family is also suing Grabowske in civil court. No trial date has been set. The Corpus Christi Police Department is still working the case.

If your child plays on a youth team, know the warning signs. An adult coach who texts late at night is a red flag. So is one who sends money through Cash App. So is one who asks your child to keep secrets. It is okay to look at your child's phone. Predators count on parents not checking.
