ICE sent two men wanted for murder in Mexico back across the border on July 21. Breitbart Texas broke the story. The outlet said ICE gave it the facts. Both men are 24 years old. Mexico wants them on murder charges in two different states.

This case shows how ICE agents in Houston hunt for people wanted for big crimes in other lands. Both men crossed back into Mexico at the same spot. They went over the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge in Laredo. Many South Texas families cross that same bridge every day.

ICE told Breitbart Texas about the first man. His name is Agustin Morales-Renteria. He first crossed into the U.S. in 2021. That was during the COVID sickness. Border agents caught him right away. They sent him back to Mexico under a rule called Title 42. Weeks later, he crossed into the U.S. again. Four days after that, Mexico put out a murder warrant for him. It came from the state of Michoacan.

In December 2024, ICE agents found Morales-Renteria again. He was in a jail in Jackson County, Missouri. Local police had locked him up on other charges. Those charges were for messing with a car and having illegal drugs. ICE said old rules kept agents from sending him back right then. This was true even though Mexico already wanted him for murder.

Morales-Renteria later went to federal prison, ICE said. He served 18 months for having a gun as an illegal immigrant. After that time, a judge said he had to leave the U.S. ICE grabbed him again on May 21, 2026. Agents drove him to the bridge in Laredo. They sent him back to Mexico on July 21. Mexican police picked him up there, ICE said.

The second man is Juan Becerra Ruiz. He is also wanted for murder in Mexico, ICE said. Police in the state of Queretaro put out his warrant. That happened in October 2022. Mexico calls the charge intentional homicide. ICE said Becerra Ruiz crossed into the U.S. at an unknown time. Border Patrol got a tip in May 2026. The tip said he might be living near Houston.

Border Patrol agents stopped Becerra Ruiz on June 4. They pulled him over during a traffic stop. It happened in Spring, Texas, near Houston. A judge said he had to leave the U.S. on June 30. ICE agents drove him to the same bridge in Laredo. They handed him to Mexican police on July 21. That was the same day agents sent back Morales-Renteria.

ICE has made more arrests in the Houston area this year. Breitbart Texas said ICE arrested almost 260 people with past crimes. That happened in just the first two weeks of July. Police said the group had gang members. Some were from MS-13. Others were from Tango Blast. That whole group had 642 past arrests, ICE said.

Gabriel Martinez runs the ICE Houston office for now. He backed the two cases in a statement to Breitbart Texas. "Under my watch, Southeast Texas will never become a safe haven for dangerous criminal illegal alien foreign fugitives like these two," Martinez said. He said his team works "without prejudice" to keep people safe. Martinez then spoke about the two men sent back. He said, "these two fugitives will now face justice for their alleged crimes, providing closure to the friends and families of their alleged victims."
