Four Family Members Shot Dead Near San Benito, Suspect Caught

Four people are dead after a shooting in Cameron County. All four were family of the suspect now in custody.

Cameron County Sheriff Manuel Treviño talked about the case. He said deputies found four people shot to death. It happened in the 32000 block of Road 819, near San Benito. The shooting happened Sunday morning. Three victims were found inside a home. The fourth was found by the side of the road.

Sheriff Treviño said the four victims were related to the suspect. He did not say what kind of relative the suspect was. He also did not name the victims or the suspect.

The suspect is now in custody. Deputies have not said how the arrest happened. They have not said what gun was used, or why it happened.
