Six people are under arrest after an armed robbery inside a San Antonio home, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office says.
The agency, known as BCSO, said the case started as a violent home invasion. It ended months later with six arrests and several other alleged crimes uncovered along the way.
The robbery happened May 7, 2026. It took place in the 23000 block of Canyon Golf Road. That is in northwest Bexar County, on the North Side of San Antonio. Investigators said three armed suspects forced their way into the home. They got in through the garage. The suspects held the people inside at gunpoint. They struck one victim with a handgun, according to authorities.
The suspects stole several items, deputies said. They took rifles, gaming consoles, and a thermal optic. A thermal optic is a scope that helps a person see in the dark. The suspects also took high-value shoes and the victim's pickup truck. Deputies later recovered the truck nearby.
Investigators worked the case for months. Deputies found the stolen thermal optic at a pawn shop. That lead helped them identify several suspects tied to the robbery, according to authorities. A pawn shop buys used items from the public and resells them. A stolen item turning up there can point police toward a suspect.
Deputies then got search warrants. A search warrant is a court order that lets police search a specific place for evidence. Those warrants led to more arrests. Authorities said the warrants also turned up other alleged crimes. Deputies said they found drug possession, stolen weapons, and equipment used to steal vehicles.
Investigators said they built the case using interviews, witness statements, and video evidence. Authorities said the evidence showed several people worked together to plan and carry out the robbery. Authorities said others allegedly pawned items that were stolen in the robbery. That is one reason the six suspects ended up facing different charges.
The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said all suspects identified in the investigation have now been arrested. Four face the most serious charges. They are Jaemaurices Jordan Mayes, Michael Jarome Randolph Jr., Roberto Carlos Bernal, and Marquell Jovon Clay. Each one is charged with aggravated robbery and engaging in organized crime.
Aggravated robbery is a serious felony charge. It applies when a robbery involves a weapon or causes injury. Engaging in organized crime is a separate charge. It means authorities allege the suspects worked together as a group to plan the crime.
Two other people face lesser charges. Daquarius Esean Crockett and Steve Monroe Pickens Jr. are each charged with theft of property. Authorities said the property in their cases is valued between $750 and $2,500.
That brings the total to six defendants. Four are charged in connection with the actual home invasion. Two are charged in connection with stolen property. Authorities said the investigation identified everyone believed to be involved in the case.
No ages were released for any of the six people arrested. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office has not released bond information for the case.
